Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
All participants need to speak either English or Dutch or German or Spanish.
By booking a tour with MTE you accept these Terms and Conditions as a binding contract between MTE and you, the participant.
Please read all Terms and Conditions carefully.
Agents and representatives
MTE agents and representatives represent MTE but are not a party to this contract. Nor are they responsible or liable for failure to provide any service as may be described in our literature pertaining to the contract.
Reservation, deposit, payment and cancellation policy
A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures a place on the tour. Final payment is due 4 weeks before the tour commences. If the total balance is not received 4 weeks before tour start, MTE reserves the right to cancel the reservation without refund.
MTE does not refund payments in case the tour is cancelled by the participant.
The participant is responsible for obtaining adequate travel insurance which covers an eventual trip cancelation.
Motorcycle and insurance
Motorcycles are provided as part of the tour package, the type and brand is selected by the participant. All photos of motorcycles on MTE’s website are promotional and do not always represent the exact version of the motorcycles provided. Please ask, if you need more detailed information. MTE reserves the right to substitute the motorcycle requested by tour participants in case the requested model is not available.
MTE is not obliged to replace a damaged motorcycle.
Motorcycles provided by MTE have the legally obligated liability insurance and an accident damage insurance that covers damage, theft, loss and other incidents with a deductible chosen by the participant.
The participant’s own motorcycle
When a participant brings their own motorcycle for use on a tour, no motorcycle insurance is provided by MTE.

The tour price for a Self-guided tour includes: a motorcycle with the needed documentation, all hotels if you booked this, the airport transfers from Madrid International Airport to the hotel and vice versa, a GPS Satnav with all needed routes programmed in it, a printed road-book with all tour-info, emergency assistance.
The tour price for the guided tour includes: a motorcycle with the needed documentation, all hotels, the airport, transfers from Madrid International Airport to the hotel and vice versa, a GPS Satnav with all needed routes programmed in it, a printed road-book with all tour-info, an English speaking private guide on a motorcycle, emergency assistance.
The tour price for group-tours includes: a motorcycle with the needed documentation, all hotels, the airport, transfers from Madrid International Airport to the hotel and vice versa, a GPS Satnav with all needed routes programmed in it, a printed road-book with all tour-info, an English speaking guide on a motorcycle, emergency assistance.
Price of tour does not include:
International flight to Madrid, Spain, meals, drinks, mini-bar items, entrance fees, laundry service, traffic fines, personal activities, other personal purchases (drinks, snacks, coca leaves, etc.) and other not mentioned purchases.
MTE will not carry or compensate for any costs incurred in case a tour participant choses a different accommodation or activity than described in the tour program.
Room allocation
In guided and group-tours the included hotel rooms are based upon double occupancy.
A limited number of single rooms are available at extra cost on a first come, first served basis but availability cannot be guaranteed. MTE will attempt to find a roommate for single/solo participants not specifying a single room on their booking. Participants that occupy a single room due to the unavailability of a roommate will not be charged the single room surcharge.
Luggage
All motorcycles are equipped with a set of (3) panniers. The exact size varies per motorcycle. Any luggage that is not taken on the tour can be stored at MTE free of charge. Luggage for storage must be properly packed and identified. MTE carries no responsibility for loss, damage or delay in delivering stored luggage to tour participants. Luggage insurance is recommended.
Minimum tour participants
There is no minimum number of participants for tours. Each tour that is booked by at least 1 participant will be executed.
MTE reserves the right to include guests, without notice on the tours.
Tour cancellation
MTE has the right to cancel/postpone a tour in case of force majeure event, such as natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrests or acts of war in the direct tour area. In this case the participants will be notified immediately and MTE will refund their payment in full, which will constitute the full settlement.
MTE is not liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the tour participants due to the cancellation of the tour. This includes but is not limited to: the costs of pre-paid airline tickets and hotel/ activity reservations.
Tour alteration
Situations may arise, which, in our opinion, make it necessary for us to advance or postpone a scheduled tour, change itineraries or make substitutions regarding hotels, cities, tour guides and other travel arrangements. In that event, we do not assume responsibility or liability for any resulting losses, expenses or inconveniences.
MTE is not required to make refunds once a tour commences regardless of the reason for participants being unable to complete their tour.
Some tours operate on a seasonal basis and where seasonal variances and/or weather conditions cause changes in the tour routing or accommodations, the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly and alternate hotels and roads will be used. MTE cannot be made liable for unpleasant or unsuitable weather conditions and no refunds are made for such conditions.
Tour participants are requested to provide all medical or other relevant information - that may possibly influence the tour process - in the “Personal Information” page of the Tour Contract. This information will be treated confidentially.
Tour participants must be able to mount the motorcycle without assistance.
If for any reason during a tour stage the participant is unable to complete or decides to abandon the tour or single tour stages, they are responsible for all arising costs regarding the transport of themselves and their motorcycle.
MTE does not carry the cost of any medical consultation, hospitalization, boarding & lodging, alternate programs or any additional costs outside the normal tour program.
NonObservance of Traffic Laws and Group Travel Regulations
If a participant cannot ride safely and cannot respect EU traffic rules, group travel rules or the guide’s instructions and risks the safety of themselves or others, or damages their motorcycle by inappropriate/ abusive use, MTE reserves the right to cancel their tour contract and return them by land back to Madrid.
The same applies, if a participant does not respect MTE’s alcohol & illegal drugs policy or shows abusive behavior towards anyone.
Photographic and video material
Photographs and videos produced by MTE or its representatives concerning activities on tour are the property of MTE. MTE can use all of this material for advertising and marketing purposes, including images in which individual tour members can be recognized, without any charge from the tour member arising for MTE for this use of material.
Any participant wishing to be incognito and not appear in any published materials, should notify MTE before the tour starts.
No fee will be paid to the participant for this use of material by MTE.
Passport, visa, motorcycle riding and health regulations
Responsibility
MTE is responsible for providing the services listed in the tour description according to the local standard and the accurate description of services offered in its literature. MTE is responsible for conscientious travel preparations. MTE is not responsible or liable for any accidents. Furthermore, it is agreed and understood that the owners, operators and agents of this tour including MTE are not the guardians of any participant's safety and they, individually or collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with the operation or the client's participation in connection with the tour, which might result in injury, death or other damage to the client, his property, or his family, heirs, or assigns. MTE is not responsible for any delays, changes in schedule or other conditions
Travel insurance
MTE recommends that all participants take out an adequate travel insurance that covers: Health, accidents, juridical protection, damage, theft and trip cancellation/alteration.
MTE can advise you as to where to obtain a suitable insurance, but bares no responsibility.
Liability
MTE will take all practicable steps to identify and minimize potential dangers. However, you must follow the guide’s instructions at all times and observe the advice presented in our rider briefing. You the participant agree to release or indemnify MTE and our staff against any liability we incur to anyone else, resulting from your failure to follow our instructions. We reserve the right to withdraw the motorcycle, from any participant who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel the tour agreement at any time if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
10% deposit is due on booking.
Final payment is due 8 weeks before the tour commences. If the total balance is not received 8 weeks before tour start, MTE reserves the right to treat this reservation as cancelled.
MTE does not refund payments in case the tour is cancelled by the participant. The participant itself is responsible for obtaining adequate travel insurance which covers trip cancelation.
